Dennis Case Carney, 79, of Davenport passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at University Hospitals, Iowa City surrounded by family. No services will be held at his request. Cremation rites will be accorded at his request. Online tributes and condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Dennis was born December 27, 1936 in Iowa. He was united in marriage to Judy A. Clover. Denny was retired after owning and operating four Bars/Restaurants (three in Rock Island, one in Davenport) for over 35 years.
Dennis was a talker and a dreamer. He enjoyed TV, movies, Chicago Bears Football and Nascar.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of fourteen years, Judy Carney; brother, Bud (Kathy) Carney, Arkansas; step-children, Tim (Kathy) Olson, Davenport, Darcy (Phillip) McBroom, Long Grove; step-grandchildren, Ryan (Elizabeth), Chris, Nicholas, Jessica Olson, Davenport and Donelle McBroom, Ohio; and step-great-grandchildren, Grace and Carter McBroom, Minnesota and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Patrick of Iowa.
