Galesburg, IL Funeral services for Donald H. Roehlk, 78, of Galesburg, formerly of Walcott, will be 12:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Monday from 10:00 am to service time at the mortuary.Donald passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care, Galesburg, IL.Donald Herman Roehlk was born on April 6, 1939 in Davenport, the son of Werner and Wilma (Toensfeldt) Roehlk. Donald married Sandra Arp, they later divorced. Donald farmed in Scott County and sold DeKalb seed for many years. He later worked for Cleary Buildings until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Marines and graduated from St. Ambrose College, Davenport. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren’s sporting events. Donald was a member of the Scott County Pork Producers, Iowa Corn Growers Association, Iowa Soybean Association and Durant Wrestling Association.Survivors include daughter; Robbi Kopf of Walcott, sons; Tim (Dana) Roehlk of Cedar Rapids, Todd (Beth) Roehlk of Walcott, grandchildren; Tori (Pete) Dunagan, Cameron Roehlk, Jeramie Roehlk, great-granddaughter; Hadleigh Dunagan, sister; Wilma “Tootie” Dohrmann of Davenport, long-time companion; Maryann Olson of Galesburg.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.Remembrances and condolences may be made to the family at www.cunnick-collins.com.
