Donald Lee Ross

Donald Lee Ross, age 82, passed away on March 28, 2021 in Davenport, Iowa. Donald was born in Moline, Illinois to Kenneth Ross and Genevieve (Griffith) Ross. Per his request, cremation rites have been accorded. Donald graduated from Moline High School in 1956. He was employed by the former Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Company for 38 ½ years, retiring in 1995.

He married Delores Ann Cherrington in 1961 in Moline. Donald enjoyed being with his children, sun tanning on his backyard deck, reading the Bible and engaging in Christian activity with the Davenport West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife, Delores (Dee); sons, Timothy and Jonathan of Davenport; daughters, Deborah Clayton of East Moline and Suzanne (Scott) Untiedt of Safety Harbor, Florida; brothers, David of Moline; sisters, Kathy (Jim) Wilbert of Burlington, Iowa and Karen Overcash of Milan; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard of Rockford, Illinois and his brother-in-law, Larry Rich.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
