Dwight Anderson

Dwight Paul Anderson, 87, of Davenport passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Per his request, cremation rites will be provided. The Runge Mortuary is assisting his family.

He was born September 19, 1937, to Joseph and Vera (Johnson) Anderson in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Dwight married Mary Louise Richers on October 5, 1958 in Denmark, Iowa. They have two children; Dawn (Chuck) Rascher and Brent (Heather) Anderson, both residing in Davenport, Iowa.

He worked for thirty-eight years at the former Globe Machinery and Supply Company, ending there as branch manager. After being in retirement for five years, he resumed work as a transportation tech for Genesis Medical, working there six years., and retiring in 2014. He was a former member of the Davenport Bowlers Assoc and coached Little League, Pony League and girls softball.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, children Dawn and Brent, one grandchild, Katie Anderson and three step-grandchildren, Andrew and Brooke Wiese and Logan Rascher. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth, Richard, and Fred Anderson, sister Lois Moran, and son-in-law Chuck Rascher.
