Elizabeth Tyson

Elizabeth Tyson, 61, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at UnityPoint-Trinity in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Monday, April 20, 2015 at 12 noon at The Runge Mortuary. Elizabeth was born January 28, 1954 in Columbus, Mississippi; the daughter of Millard and Ophelia (Buckingham) LaGrone. She was united in marriage to Warren Tyson, II in 1973 in Rock Island; he preceded her in death.

She worked at Brach’s Candy Company for 22 years and later worked at Genesis Medical Center in the Environmental Services Department. She loved the Chicago Bears, fishing and being around her family.

She is survived by sons: Warren Tyson, III, EL, James C. Tyson, Eric Tyson; daughter, Tiffany Tyson; step-daughter, Elunda Sanders; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; mother, Ophelia LaGrone; stepmother, Edna Smith; sisters: Wilma LaGrone, Helen Thomas and Shirley Smith; brothers: Millard LaGrone and Rosevelt Smith and many nieces and nephews, all of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Sterling Buckingham and a sister, Juanita LaGrone.
