

Emma J. LaRue, 72, of Davenport, IA; passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. At this time there will be no services as Emma, donated her body to medicine to help teach others.
Emma was born on May 8, 1949 to Harold and Eva Waterman in Kingston, NY. Emma was a hard worker; she worked as a secretary at Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine and then went on to be a CNA at Good Samaritan for 7 years before retiring in 2006. She was a loving mother and supported her children no matter what was going on. Emma had a great sense of humor, loved playing bingo, card games with the family, and going to the casino. She even made it as a contestant on “The Price is Right”.
Those left to honor her memory are her children Larnel Barber(Angela Falbe), Kelly Bassett(Tia Watson), Faith Barber(Joe Cole); thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers.
