Erlinda Margaret Kane

Erlinda “Linda” M. Kane, 74, of Bettendorf, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. Cremation rites have been accorded per her wishes. Funeral services and inurnment will be private and take place at Pinehill Cemetery, Davenport. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Linda was born, April 17, 1949, in Davenport to Walter and Elvina (Eckhardt) Hanssen. She attended Davenport Central High and graduated from Davenport West High School “Class of 1967” for her Senior year.

She worked in the personnel department at Case IH until closing. Linda worked for Fairbanks Scales as the office administrator for 22 years before retiring. While working there she met her husband, Ed Kane. Ed and Linda were married on July 4, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV.

Linda is survived by her husband Ed, daughter Amy Loper of Bettendorf, son Chris Hoffmann of Davenport; her grandchildren; Riley Loper, Drake and Isabella Hoffmann. Step-son, Eddie Kane Jr. (April) of Omaha, Nebraska. Step-daughter Samantha Kane-Tibbitts (Denny) of Des Moines, Iowa. Step-grandsons Adyn and Caesyn Kane, both of Omaha. Siblings Walter L. (Janice) Hanssen Jr. of Stuart, Florida, and Edward (Connie) Hanssen of Davenport. Also special lifetime friends Sarah and Jim Boblit of Bettendorf.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Henry “Hank” Hanssen. Along with her first and only dog, Molly!! Thanks Walt and Jan.
