Military honors and service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the National Cemetery Rock Island, IL. Ernest Was born July 15, 1950 in McRae, Georgia to Clarence & Millie (Davis) Cobb. He served in the US Army from 1968 to 1976. He was united in marriage to Teresa on December 29, 2000 in Davenport, IA. Ernest had been a truck driver for Schneider Transport in Green Bay, WI and General Logistics Davenport prior to retirement. Ernest loved to golf and a good game of poker.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Cobb; children, Rhonda, Theresa, Jodi (Kevin) Andrews-Cade, Stephanie (Carlos) Rush, & Jerry Andrews Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph & Joshua Gipson, Jordan & Jarren Andrews, and Marissa Bell; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Davis; sisters, Judy (Joe) Coultry, Rita Sapp, & Sally Kinnon; plus numerous nieces & nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Billy Davis.
