Everett Theodore Bates

Davenport, IA Funeral services for Everett T. Bates, 82, of Davenport will be 11:00 am on Friday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at Pinehill Cemetery, Davenport, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion #26. Family will greet friends on Friday from 10:00 am to service time at the mortuary.

Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Everett passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at his home in Davenport.

Everett Theodore Bates was born on July 3, 1936 in Davenport, IA, the son of Sidney and Leona (Prignitz) Bates. He married Evelyn Wilcox on September 8, 1962 in Davenport. Everett worked as an Electrician for Local 145 I.B.E.W., retiring in 1992. He was a member of Local #145 I.B.E.W. Everett served in the U.S. Army.

Everett was forever faithful to his wife, family, friends, The Cubs, and The Hawkeyes. Like the threads in this small treasure, our lives are woven together.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of Davenport, children; Eric (Natalie) Bates of Colorado Springs, Co, Sharon Tutor of O'Fallon, IL, Julie (Robert) Headlee of Elizabeth, IL, Joel (Annette) Bates of West Des Moines, IA, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers; Leslie Bates and Kenneth Bates.
