

Frank W. Parrish, 82, of Davenport, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, after an extended illness with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 2:00 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Red Hawk First Tee. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Frank was born September 24, 1932 in Davenport, the son of Robert and Frances (Rainey) Hughes. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Betty Saunders; she preceded him in death in 1987. He later married Beverly Tyler on September 1, 1995 in Davenport. He was employed as a production manager at Alcoa for thirty-eight years prior to his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling and was a member of the Davenport Elk’s Lodge and PGA of America. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Beverly; sons, Charles Parrish, Dothan, Ala. and Gregory Parrish, Davenport; step-children: Kevin Tyler, Cedar Creek, TX and Debbie Tyler, Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; special friends, George Frost and Boby Stewart and his many golfing buddies.
