Gary Thomas Connelly

Gary T. Connelly, 82, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Harmony Utica Ridge. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Le Claire, Iowa. Memorials in Gary’s name may be made to Scott County Humane Society.

Gary was born on July 16, 1942, in Guttenberg, Iowa to Ray and Angie Connelly. Following high school, Gary went on to work at Caterpillar for 18 years and then worked as a medical delivery driver until he retired in 2014. He was united in marriage to Beverly Alexander on September 30, 1990. Gary enjoyed spending time outside working on his yard and working on various wood working projects. He also enjoyed going to car shows, dancing, and playing with his cats.

Gary is survived by his wife Beverly; sons Christopher (Julie), Todd (Kasey), and Mark; stepdaughter Karen (Kevin) McKee; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces; and special friend and caregiver Janell Deweerdt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Connelly.
