Gary D. Fletcher

Gary D. Fletcher, 51, of Bettendorf, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Bettendorf after a battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the mortuary. Casual dress required. Gary was born January 28, 1961. He graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1979. He worked for his mother and father at Fletcher Sewer Service for 20 years and then opened his own business in 1990 as Gary Fletcher Sewer and Drain Cleaning.

He married Martha Briles in 1987. She preceded him in death. He married Julie Allison in 1994.

He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to bike ride, swim, his Doxies and listening to his loud head banging music.

Gary is survived by his wife, Julie; his children, Nicholas, Victoria Fletcher (fiancé, David Haines); stepson, Anthony (Dawn) Allison; grandchildren, Alyssa, Kiara, Breenna, Jordon, Rayna, David, Jr.; parents, Duane and Mary Fletcher; brother, Leo (Wendy) Fletcher; sisters, Carol (Brien) Roberts and Stacy (Jeff) Early; sister-in-law, Debby (Mike) Gardner; father-in-law, Thomas (Brenda) Page; sisters-in-law, Sarah (Jeff) LeBeau, Liz Briles Crawford, Susie (Art) Schmidt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Briles Fletcher; nephew, Robert Fletcher; and mother-in-law, Margaret Briles.
