He was born in Davenport on April 24, 1950 to Donald Hendricks and Helen Koopman. Gary graduated from Bettendorf High School. Gary worked 26 years for the Rock Island Arsenal until his retirement in 2010. Before that Gary served in the United States Navy on the USS New Orleans. Gary was a sports enthusiast and a loyal fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helen.
He is survived by his sisters Sandy (Wes Carlson) and Beth (Celly Gallegos), and niece Lindsay Lieneman.
Funeral arrangements will be held at the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum on October 4th at 11:30
am.
Gary is preceded in death by Kevin Hendricks and Linda Hendricks Lieneman.
