Gary Pestle, 62, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and his dogs. He gained his wings Sunday, September 15, 2024. Cremation will be done with a Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Credit Island starting at noon. Gary was born on July 9, 1962 in Moline, Illinois to Dale and Lucy Pestle. He worked hard all of his life and loved the residents he served at St. Anthony’s.
Gary loved spending time with his family, fishing, and being outdoors. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
His family will miss his crooked smile, infectious laugh, orneriness, and his love.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Wanda, Mickey (Doug), and Toni (Balta); brothers, Scott, Kevin (Tracy), and Billy Roy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Pestle; mother, Lucy Pestle, and step-mother, Marge Pestle.
