Georgia A. Boyd, 85, of Davenport passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Genesis East. Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10 am in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be 9 am until service time at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. She was born August 9, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Andrew and Ruth (Fanth) Olsen. Georgia Olsen was united in marriage to Richard P. Wolfe in 1951 and later to Robert Boyd in 1978. She was employed at Prudential Insurance and then Oscar Mayer/Kraft Foods for forty three years until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Oscarettes, Plus 60 Club, Moose and Elks.
She is survived by her husband Robert Boyd; son James R. (Sally) Wolfe; stepchildren Robert J. (Tami) Boyd, John D. (Sandra) Boyd, Viki L. (Clint) Vares and Nancy J. (Bruce) Zoellner; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, June Sizenbach and a stepson, William Boyd.
