

Georgia Mae Jefferson was born February 21, 1951 in Chicago IL to Willie and Jimmie Lee (Brunner) Moore. She was the middle child of 11 siblings. She was united in marriage to Uluches Jefferson, who preceded her in death.
Georgia had been a member of the Victory Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago IL Georgia felt education was important and supported anyone perusing it. She had a big heart and loved raising her family which included nieces and nephews. In her spare time Georgia enjoyed going to garage sales and book stores. She was especially known for love of slot machines. She also enjoyed spending time with her many great grandchildren, friends and family.
Georgia had worked for 25 years as an administrative assistant with the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service in Chicago, IL prior to retiring in 2005. She then went on to further her education and attended Strayer University in Washington DC from 2009- 2010 earning both her associate and bachelor’s degrees in business administration. She then returned back to Strayer in 2013 ultimately earning her Master’s degree in 2014 also in business administration.
“Moody” as she was affectionately called by all her friends and family was truly the glue of her family and will be greatly missed.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Jimmie Lee Moore; sisters, Annie and Willie Mae; and brothers, James, Alphonsia, Dudley, Lorenzo, Saligan Donald and Ronald
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her children, Antionette (Leroy) Little, Marcia (Anthony) Watson, Hope Lavett (Rodolfo) Fitchpatrick, and Uluches Jefferson Jr.; sisters, Denise Kirmsse and Marcia Holloway; grandchildren, Terrill, Andrew, Charles, Verdell, Shantell, Christoper, Andrew, Deshouda, Dena, Cepeda, Kieasha, and Lorenzo; great grandchildren, Karli, Jazzarai, Jaiden, Taten, Camren, Alaya, Adrian, Kayniya, Serenity, Kaidence, Clarence, Elijah, Tyson, Prince-Amere, Ty’Reke, Zayh, Trey, Hezekiah, Ezra, and Adira; bonus children at heart, Danielle and William; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
