Gerald Royce McKenrick

Gerald “Jerry” R. McKenrick, 90, of Bettendorf, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family, A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Riverside Four Square Church, 302 N. Cody Road in Le Claire. Visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the church there will also be a visitation held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday. Jerry was born on November 8. 1932 in Camanche, IA to Lester and Dorothy (Brown) McKenrick. He was united in marriage to Betty Anderson on September 28, 1957 in Morrison, IL. Jerry worked for Oscar Meyer, retiring in 1992. Jerry enjoyed spending time caring for his home, lawn and doing small repairs. He loved and cared deeply for his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Betty, children; Steve (Diane) McKenrick, Barbara (Dave) Eisenberg, Aaron McKenrick, Sheila Matten, Lori (Steve) Ripley; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one on the way, and one brother, Wayne (Sarah) Alm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
