Gertraude Marianne Small

.Gertraude Marianne Dembach Gordon, Gott, Small received her angel wings on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at home surrounded by her family, joining her heavenly father, beloved husband, Cliff Small, parents, sister and grandson. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Genesis Health Services Foundation, 1227 East Rusholme Street, Davenport, IA 52803. Gertraude entered this world on March 5, 1943 in Frankfurt, Germany daughter of Wilhem and Elisabetha (Schuler) Dembach. She came to the United States in 1960 to Davenport, Iowa. Her heart always remained in her homeland. She was united in marriage to Jerry Allen Gott in 1960 in Del Monte, CA. They have 3 children: Jerry Dean (Cathy) Gott, Yvonne (Dave Tompkins) Gott Fontenoy, Bridget (Marty) Gott, Millage Mineck. After Jerry and Gertraude parted ways in 1976 she married Cliff N. Small in 1979. Gertraude and Cliff remained married for 32 years until his passing on October 1, 2010.

She is survived by her children; five grandchildren: Chris Lopez, Danielle Miller, Ryan (Christin) Millage, Justin Millage, Tifani Reese; sister, Hannelore Brady and nine great grandchildren.

Gertraude was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband Cliff N. Small and grandson, Adam Miller.

The family would like to personally thank Maggie, Lisa, Sherri, Emily, Priscilla, Cathy and Chaplain Bruce McNeeley and all that may have visited Gertraude during her time with Hospice.
