Guy Jean Fredette

Guy Fredette, 71, of Davenport, IA passed away on July 27, 2017 at Genesis East Hospital. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, in Moline, IL at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Guy was born on May 14, 1946 in Montreal Quebec, Canada to Claude and Madeline (LeMay) Fredette. He worked out of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union as a pipefitter/welder traveling from job to job all over Canada and the United States. He retired after 50 years from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 254, Jacksonville, FL. He also worked hard for 10 years to become an American citizen. He loved to joke around, enjoyed playing cards and board games, loved to go out on his boat, and in his earlier years was fond of riding his motorcycle.

In his passing, he leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Marylinn; son Francois (Danielle) Fredette; daughters, Claire (Christopher) Summers and Amanda Krauel; grandchildren: Courtney, Kirsten, Kaiden, Keegan, Chrissy, Austin, Ethan, Christopher, Chantel, Christian, Chace, Camille, Lydia, Zelda and Ian; and

great-grandsons Michael-David and Elijah.

He will be greatly missed by the many friends he made throughout his work travels. He will especially be missed by his family members who love him, whether near or far.
