Memorial services for Gwendolyn J. Skipper, 62, of Davenport will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Third Missionary Baptist Church, Davenport. Inurnment will be at a later date in Providence Community Cemetery in Panola Co., MS. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.Gwendolyn JoAnn Jones was born on May 30, 1955 in Taylor, MS, the daughter of Nathaniel and Hilda (Carothers) Jones. She was a food service supervisor for the Davenport Community School District. Gwendolyn was a member of Third Missionary Baptist Church and The Pythian Sisters. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino.

She is survived by Daughters: Yocamma Jones of Davenport, Latara Jones of Davenport; Sons: Tydrelle (Rhiannon) Jones of Texas, Mario Jones of Davenport; Sisters: Jacqueline Bibbs of Taylor, MS, Michelle Harris of Water Valley, MS, Marilyn (James) Williams of Racine, WI, Bobbi (Roger) Reed of Racine, WI; Brothers: Jimmy Jones of Racine, WI, Anthony Jones of Racine, WI, Michael (Alma) Jones of Oxford, MS; 3 Grandchildren: Tyanna and Arrington Jones, Jacorey Jones.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Aundra Jones.Memorials may be directed to the family.
