Helen Marie Hansen

Helen Marie Hansen, 88, of Bettendorf, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Helen was born on October 28, 1926 in Donahue, IA, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Steinbeck) Husen. She married Eldon H. Hansen on August 27, 1949.

She loved bowling, doing arts and crafts, flower gardening, shopping, and gambling now and then. She enjoyed going out to eat, was a great cook and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon; children, Mark (Linda) Hansen, Geneseo, IL and Debra Fitzgerald, McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Shannon Fitzgerald, Los Angeles, CA, Renae (Derek) Shannon, Geneseo, Kevin (Lindsay) Fitzgerald, New York, NY, and Gregory Hansen, Davenport; great grandchildren, Ella and Reese Shannon and another on the way, Aiden Fitzgerald; brother, Roy (Shirley) Husen, Dixon, IA and sister, Roma (Gerald) Grell, Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Delmar Husen; and sister, Marletta Betts.
