Grandpa Jack as our family( Mike, Raquel, Elijah, Sam and Angie) called him was a special great grandpa, every time we would come to Iowa and visit he will be ready to see us and the kids. The would bring ice cream for the children and gummy bears. The kids loved him and his special way to let us know he was happy to see us. He was very special to our children. 
We love him so much and we are missing him already. 
Until we meet again in heaven grandpa Jack we love you. 

He was a good customer and an great person.  I considered him my friend. I got to know him when I was working at Lindquist Ford and he became more than a customer.  He would sit at my desk and visit frequently. I enjoyed his company.

We will truly miss our dear friend Jack.  He was a great prayer warrior and we prayed for each other often.  We remember that whenever we had a "Hymn Sing" at church, Jack would call out "number 534."  The words were so perfect for him......        

"Be still, my soul, The Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently, the cross of grief or pain
Leave to thy God, to order and provide
In every change, He faithful will remain
Be still, my soul, thy best thy heavenly friend
Through thorny ways, leads to a joyful end."        

...Indeed, through all the thorny ways of this world his heavenly friend was with him.  And now it has lead to a joyful end.  Now he rests with Millie and his heavenly friend, Jesus.

Our Church Small Group went to the Deere show room in May of 2017.  Jack had a lot of stories to tell about farming equipment.  He loved to ride in the Maxwell's combine.  He is seen here with good friend Al Ide.

Jack will be greatly missed!  He always had a kind word, smile and a blessing for everyone he met.  

Jackie was such a kindhearted and friendly soul. 
He brought us a card for every occasion, and even just because. 
We looked forward to each time Jackie visited us. 
He will certainly be missed.

I first met Jackie in 2009 and was immediately struck by how kind of a person he was. Every time I saw him, he brought in a card, gave me a blessing, and wished me well. I remember when his wife died, and I am grateful I could spend the extra time with him during that time, consoling him and just being with him while he grieved. Over the past two years, I lost two grandparents, and my last one was in and out of the hospital. Every time I saw Jackie he would ask how my mom and my grandma were doing, and bring my grandma a card for me to give to her as well. It is a great loss to this world to have lost Jackie, as he was such a bright shining light to everyone who's life he touched. And I am also relieved that his body is finished with the suffering of this life, and that he is reunited with Millie in death. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

Jack was a very kind and caring man that loved the Lord. No matter where he went he would share that love with his greeting “ May God Bless you and keep you safe.”  We called each other every morning to read a daily devotion from his favorite book, Jesus Calling, to start the day.  He will dearly be missed.
