Jacob “FARVA” O’Connell, 24, of Buffalo, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 24, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 9:00 PM Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo, IA. Jake was born September 9, 1988 in Davenport, the son of Larry (Mike) Long and Julie Ann Long. He worked at SSAB and graduated from West High School in 2007.

He was a beloved baseball coach and an avid Michigan football fan. He enjoyed participating in bags tournaments and was an avid poker player.Jake was a very social man and enjoyed his time with friends and family.

Jake is survived by his parents, Larry (Mike) and Julie Long, Walcott; brother, Nathanael O’Connell and Briane Franks, Aledo, IL; grandparents, Jackie Kallenberger, Walcott; Robert Kallenberger, Blue Grass; Larry and Judy Long, Centerville, IA; great grandparents, Harry and Juanita Upson, West Columbia, South Carolina; and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
