Funeral services for Jacqueline M. Carter, 80, of Davenport will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the mortuary. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Jacqueline passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Jacqueline M. Hogan was born on April 10, 1936 in Streator, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Nellie (Riehl) Hogan. On August 8, 1952, she married John R. Carter in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 2014. Jacqueline worked for over 25 years as a teacher’s aide for Adams School. She enjoyed gardening and holiday celebrations, but above all she loved spending time with her family, friends, and her two beloved dogs. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy and light of her life. She is survived by Daughters: Sheila (Terrence) Ryan, Constance (Robert) Bleuer, Sandra (Steven) Fischlein; Son: John (Darcy) Carter, all of Davenport; Brother: Jerome (Nancy) Hogan of Lompoc, CA; 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren plus one on the way; and 2 Nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Bernard and Brian.
