James L. Berryhill, 80, of Davenport, passed away on March 13, 2024 at Ridgecrest Village. Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Weerts Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the River Bend Food Bank. James was born on July 15, 1943 on the family farm in Popejoy, Iowa to Irvin and Ruth (Bond) Berryhill. He attended Muscatine Community College and Iowa State University. James served in the United States Army from February of 1965 to August of 1967 as an SP4 in Germany.
James is survived by his siblings, Ruby McCullough of Davenport, Esther Smith of Iowa City and David (Sharon) Berryhill of Gilbert.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Ruth (Bond) Berryhill; brother, William Berryhill and brother-in-law, Harold McCullough.
