James R. Good

A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of James R. Good, 79, of Davenport will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend graveside services should meet at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Mr. Good passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his residence. James Russell Good was born on November 24, 1933 in LaPorte City, IA, the son of Russell and Urva Good. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. James worked at John Deere Plow & Planter and later retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1996. He was a member of the American Legion – Post #26. He is survived by his Wife: Geraldine “Jerri” Good of Davenport; his Children: Rusty (Michelle) Good of Pleasant Hill, MS, Larry Good of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Joyce Good of Wayland, IA, Sissy Good of Davenport, Beverly (Michael) Bressler of Davenport, James (Julie) Good, Jr. of Davenport; his siblings and spouses; and several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings. Memorials may be directed to the family.
