James "Jim" Jantz

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at the Runge Mortuary, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family for his children. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Jim was born the son of Lonnie Ray and Sue (Makoski) Jantz on February 13, 1978 in Davenport, IA. He worked as a millwright specialist and journeyman, and known to be a jack of all trades.

Jim was the best cook and loved to barbeque. He was always experimenting with new recipes and liked to make people smile through his cooking. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, and above all else, spending time with his sons and family. Jim was also a huge fan of the Green Bay Packer and proudly wore his cheese head.

Those left honoring his memory are his sons, James P. Jantz and Noah Jantz, both of Clarksville, TN; parents, Lonnie and Sue Jantz; siblings, Talitha (Doug) Nickles, Trisha (Michael Paul) Skinner, Travis (Kristen) Jantz, and Stefanie Jantz; the love of his life and soulmate, Jessica Weeks and her children, Jacob Hintz and Katie Weeks; nieces and nephews: Crissy, Josh, Jaydlyn, Logan, Lilly, Easton, and Claudia; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and beloved dog, Hades.
