

James (Jim) C. Moore, 67, died Tuesday, January 29th after a yearlong battle with brain cancer surrounded by his loving family at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Daryl Ann. Daughters Erin Moore of Moline, IL and Sarah Moore of Davenport, Iowa and son Justin Buchanan of San Jose, California. Siblings John Moore of East Moline, Illinois, Mary Jane Moore of Bellair, Florida and Suzanne Talkington of Simpsonville, South Carolina. Three grandchildren, Brandon Williams and Zosia and Asher Buchanan. He was born in Moline, Illinois, a 1963 graduate of UTHS. He received both his bachelor’s degree and MBA from St. Ambrose University. His career was accounting, retiring as the Vice-President and CFO of Cashman Equipment Company in Henderson, Nevada. Previous to relocating to Nevada in 1999 he worked at Nichols Homeshield and Case IH. His colleagues were always amazed by his ability to do involved calculations in his head and his ability to remember every number on a spread sheet. His lifelong passion was golf, traveling to challenge himself on some of the most difficult courses in the country. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends. Especially his golf group at Anthem Country Club in Henderson, Nevada who loved taking his “cash” although he told his wife this didn’t happen very much. Visitation is scheduled Monday, February 4 from 5 to 7 PM at Runge Mortuary in Davenport. There will be a funeral service at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 5, also at Runge’s with burial at Riverside in Moline, Illinois. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date in Henderson, Nevada. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Program, 13400 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ.
