Janice A Fowler

Funeral services for Janice A. Fowler, 82, of Davenport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport. The family will greet from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary on Friday evening and additionally from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment with graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Pine View Cemetery in Delaware, IA. Mrs. Fowler died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport. Janice Arminta Guetzko was born on March 13, 1929 in Deleware, IA, the daughter of Edward and Margi (Meader) Guetzko. On July 19, 1952, she married Robert L. Fowler in Delaware, IA. He preceded her in death in March of 2002. Mrs. Fowler was a housewife, homemaker, and most of all a patient and loving Mom. First and foremost were her family, extended family, and friends. Always a gracious hostess, she loved to serve others, saw good in everyone, celebrated the joys, and was a cheerleader of their successes. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over twenty years and loved to garden.She is survived by her two Daughters: Jane (Mark) Wagner of Dunkerton, IA, Sally Malcolm of Waverly, IA; and a sister Marilyn (Vern) Rosenbery of Galena, IL.In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and sister-in-laws: Gene (Isabel) Guetzko and Buck (Harriet) Guetzko.Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
