Janice E. Wells

Janice E. Wells, 87, of Davenport Iowa passed away on September 27, 2025, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025, at the Runge Mortuary and Crematory at 12pm. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Janice was born on August 28, 1938, in Bennett Wisconsin to Joseph and Florence (VanCauteren) Tidhome. On May 18, 1957, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Wells in Chicago Illinois. After Thomas’s unexpected passing in 1984 she met George Christoff. They have enjoyed living this life together ever since. She and George enjoyed many winters in Arizona together.

In 1997 she retired from Kartridge Pak Company after 25 years of service. She and George went on to own and operate River City Motors in Clinton Iowa. Janice loved traveling, baking and spending time with family. She was an extremely generous person that would always help those she loved in times of need. She will be sincerely missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Debbie (Rick) Weiland; grandson, Thomas J. (Amber) Adams; great-granddaughter, Zoe; sister, Nellie Kilcher and lifelong companion, George Christoff.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph Tidhome and Albert Tidhome.
