There will be a memorial mass 11:00am on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4105 N. Division Street Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jerry was born June 3, 1951 in Port Smith, VA to Andrew & Jane (Fournier) Marsh. Jerry was united in marriage to Faith on June 28, 1996 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
He was a graduate of Western Illinois University where earned his bachelor’s degree in teaching. In 2013, Jerry retired from the Davenport Public Schools after 37 years. He taught Health and was a certified athletic trainer. 1994 Jerry was awarded the Health Educator of the year award in Iowa. He also volunteered as an athletic training instructor on trips to Mexico. Following retirement he served as a volunteer reading instructor at Jefferson Elementary School Davenport. Jerry was very proud to be an Eagle Scout and worked at Loud Thunder Scout Reservation during the summers as well as a life guard at West Lake Park. Jerry was a very loving person who loved his wife, sons, & being Papa to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Faith; 2 grandchildren, Amariyah & Sage Marsh; daughter-in-law, Whitley; twin brother, Larry (LeAnne) Marsh of WI; sister, Sharon Marsh of Waukegan, IL ; sister & brothers-in-law, Beth(Rob) Slawson, Steve (Mia) Flatman, & Tim (Kathy) Flatman; 2 nieces, Lindsay and Shanna; and nephew, Jameson.
Jerry has joined his 2 sons, Bob & Nick Marsh and parents in heaven.
