Jerry Dale Tracy Sr.

Davenport, IA Memorial services for Jerry Dale Tracy Sr., 82, of Davenport, will be 10:30 am on Saturday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Inurnment will follow at Pinehill Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 9:30 am to service time at the mortuary.

Jerry passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at his home in Davenport. He was born on January 6, 1937 in Davenport, the son of Ed and Wilma (Storms) Tracy. Jerry was self-employed as a contractor in the Quad City area for many years. He married Marilyn Rittenhouse on May 5, 1956 in Davenport. She preceded him in death on October 13, 2015.

Old man Tracy was a loyal friend and true soldier 'til the end. He was a legend in his time. Jerry was the backbone of his family and protector of his loved ones. His family were very dear to his heart.

Jerry always had an open door willing to help all. Pops was a man of many talents through his lifetime, he did everything from tree work to construction. His wife, Marilyn, and he loved refurbishing old houses and restoring them back to new life.

He enjoyed camping, boating, and motorcycle rides with friends and family. They don't build them like Old Man Tracy anymore. He was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his son; William 'Billy' (Micki) Tracy of Lostant, Il, daughter; Karilyn (Mark) Curtis of Davenport, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brothers; Jim Tracy and Jack Tracy, both of Buffalo, IA, John Tracy of TX, and sister; Joyce Hawker of Park View, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Marilyn, daughter Jerilyn Werthmann, sons; Brud and Terry and son-in-law; Gary Werthmann.
