John “Bill” Page, 85, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, October 09, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 1pm at Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ 1020 N. Ripley St, Davenport. Visitation will be Sunday, October 14th from 2-5pm at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly. Burial will be following the service at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials in Bill’s name may be made to Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ.
Bill was born in 1933 in Moberly, Missouri to John and Genevieve Page. In October of 1952, Bill was united in marriage to Norma Jean Bell, she passed away in 1961. Later on August 19, 1964, he was united in marriage to Annie Laura Dillard-Clark, she preceded him in death in 1996. Bill was a maintenance man at Lafarge North America (formerly known as Davenport Cement) for 35 years before retiring. In his free time Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, he seemed to have a green thumb and could make anything grow. He seemed to be able to fix anything that had a motor in it and was the neighborhood “Mr. Fix it”. Most of all, Bill loved to spend time with his family and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.
Those left to honor Bill’s memory are his children: Vicki (Stephen) Williams, Reginald Page, John Page, Alma “Jeanne” Bragg, and Earnestine Threatt; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friends Ezell Holmes and Curtis Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; children: George, Larry, and Gary Clark; and siblings: Donald Page, Jackie Martha Louise Williams, and Virginia Kimbrough.
