Juanita Rodriguez

Juanita Rodriguez, 84, of Davenport passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm, those wishing to attend the burial should meet at the Runge Mortuary at 12:30 pm. Memorials may be made to Lulac Scholarship Fund.She was born on August 17, 1932 the daughter of Anastacio and Maria (Serrano) Segobiano. She was united in marriage to Ernest Rodriguez on June 23, 1959.In Juanita’s free time she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play, traveling with her husband, watching the news, and reading murder mysteries by the window while she watched the world go by. She was a talented seamstress making many bears. Her talent was self-taught by watching others when she was young. She was a member of the Lulac Club and a member of Sacred Heart Church.Her family brought her the greatest joy. Juanita adored her children and grandchildren.Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ernest; children: Philip Rodriguez, Becky (Pat) Konrad, Carlos Bernal, Christine (Mike) Williams, Yolanda Hayslett, Ernie Rodriguez, Alfonso (Lisa) Rodriguez and Maria Smith; sister Virginia Bernal, brothers Johnny Segobiano, Alfonso Segobiano, Bobby Segobiano, and Joey Segobiano; 28 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, son Marty, sisters Nellie Holcomb, Margaret Carpio, and Rose Coss, and brother Pete Terronez.
