Jurren W. Dirksen Jr., 78, of Woodhull, IL passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Ozark, MO. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the Kingdom Hall, 201 N Linwood Rd Galesburg, IL 61401. Burial took place in Davenport Memorial Park. Jurren was born October 20, 1946, in Davenport, IA to Jurren & Eleanor (Dumar) Dirksen Sr. He was united in marriage to Sharon Livers on December 27, 1969, in Davenport, IA. Jurren served in the US Army from 1969-71 and in the reserves for 3 years after that. Jurren worked at International Harvester (Farmall) for 19 ½ years and was Owner and Operator of Dirksen Auto Service Inc for 26 ½ years. Also worked at Quad-City times for 14 ½ years.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Dirksen; daughters Angela Steward (Michael ) and Jessica Ogburn (David); 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers,

Jurren was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sharon Ann and Brother Marvin Dean.
