Kathy Cheney Mezzell, 67, of East Moline, formerly of Davenport passed away November 11, 2016. Following cremation, a visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Kathy was born June 22, 1949, a daughter of Edwin and Mary Cheney. She had attended the University of Iowa and Harding College and was a member of the Church of Christ in Moline. Kathy had a love of life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies included reading, music, art and going to the movies with friends. She was also an avid fan of the Cubs and Hawkeyes. Survivors include her sister, Virginia Barber, brother William (Nancy) Cheney; nephews: Matthew (Jeanette) Cheney, David (Heather) Cheney and Robert Hintze. She was preceded in death by her parents.
