There will be a visitation 3pm to 7pm with a prayer service at 7pm Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory Davenport. A funeral mass will be held 11:00am Friday, June 14, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, IA there will be one hour visitation prior. A luncheon will follow mass at the church. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. A celebration of Life will be held at the Backwater Gamblers Ski Site Friday, June 14, 2024 at 6:00pm. Please come gather with friends and family at one of Keith’s favorite places. Memorials may be made to the Backwater Gamblers Ski Team or the Gift of Hope Donor Network. Keith was born August 14, 1979 in Green Bay, WI to Mike & Doris (Mleziva) Berger. He was united in marriage to Bridget Engler on August 8, 2009 In Lake Geneva, WI. He had attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville where he earned his BS in industrial engineering and was a member of the TKE Fraternity.
Keith started at John Deere‘s Crawler Division in Dubuque, IA, later on transferred over to the Forestry Division in Davenport, and traveled all over the world as an instructor for John Deere’s Forestry Harvesting Equipment.
Keith was a Boy Scout where he earned his Eagle Scout Rank. He worked at Bear Paw Scout Camp water front staff for 3 years. This is where his love for water began with swimming, boating, and driving the boat for his wife and boys to water ski. This lead to his other passion the Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Team for the last 15 years serving as boat driver, coach, and developing others.
Survivors include his wife Bridget (Engler) Berger, Davenport; 2 sons Charlie & James; parents Mike & Doris Berger, Luxemburg, WI; Brother Lee Berger, Green Bay, WI; Father & Mother in law Vincent & Pamela (Hunley) Engler, Bristol, WI; Sister in law Brittany (Michael) Walker, Billings, MT; & aunts, uncles, cousins.
Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents Steve & Rita Berger and Walter & Marie Mleziva.
