

LaVaughn L. LaFrenz, 85, of Davenport was called Home by Jesus on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Risen Christ Lutheran Church, the American Heart Fund or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. LaVaughn was born June 18, 1927 at Kane, Manitoba, Canada, a daughter of Arnold and Frieda (Jaeger) Andresen. On November 13, 1956 she married Glenn F. LaFrenz in Kirksville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1997.
She was a long-time manager at Slagle Supermarket and retired from the office of Dr. J.D. Moon, DDS. She was a member of Risen Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Rebecca S. and Thomas Oswald, Patricia A. and Larry Keltner, and son and daughter-in-law David A. and Teresa LaFrenz; seven grandchildren: Kristopher Oswald, Melissa Norin and Amanda Oswald, Ashley and Lance Keltner, and Jacob and Jordan LaFrenz; four great granddaughters; a special niece Debbie A. Manner, and her dear friend Betty Belter.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Arnold D. Andresen, a sister Marvella F. Keller, and a special sister-in-law Ruth M. Gerwe.
