LaVon E. Ullrich

LaVon E. Ullrich, 84, of Moline, formerly of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM-1 PM, preceding the service. Inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, Illinois or the Alzheimer’s Association. LaVon was born February 19, 1929 in Davenport, a daughter of Walter and Edna (Brammann) Sizenbach. On November 28, 1946 she married Ray W. Ullrich. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2012. She was a homemaker who was an avid reader and enjoyed her pets, cooking, and playing rummy.

Those left to honor her memory are her children: Bonnie (Robert) Harksen of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Christie Ullrich of Davenport, Gregory (Dawn Berg) Ullrich of Mesa, Arizona; daughter-in-law B.J. Ullrich; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kirk, her parents and two sisters, Lois Pash and Marion Helfrich.
