Terry was born July 16, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Roosevelt and Laurine (Byers) Thornton. He was currently attending Scott Community College. Terry was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal in the maintenance department.
Terry loved cooking, barbequing, joking and playing the drums. He was better known as “T-Bone the Drummer.” Many loved him.
He is survived by his son, Kawan Ervin; six grandchildren; brothers, Peter Thornton, Herbert Thornton, James Thornton, Roosevelt Thornton and his sister, Annetta Thornton; one sister in law; one brother in law and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Laurine (Byers) Thornton and Roosevelt Thornton; seven sisters and one brother.
