Funeral services for Louis “Tiny” A. Quick, 78, of Davenport will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Mr. Quick passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center - West Campus, Davenport. Louis Arthur Quick was born in Davenport on June 1, 1933, the son of Arthur and Myrtle (Paulsen) Quick. He graduated in 1952 from Clinton High School. Louis worked as a driver for Riverbend Transit, Davenport produce and The Green Thumbers. His favorite job was driving the bus for the Quad City Angels and he still remains an avid Angels fan. Once a year on Christmas Eve, Louis would take his nieces and nephews out to look at Christmas lights while Santa delivered his loot. Such fond memories will live forever in the hearts of his family. He is survived by a Sister: Jeanette Quick of Davenport; four Nieces: Kathy (Allan) Alm of Camanche, IA, Cyndi (Dave) Kitchener of Phoenix, AZ, Traci Quick of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy Quick of Fulton, IL; three Nephews: Ronald (Vickie) Quick of Davenport, Leonard (Bonnie Kalina) Quick of Clinton, IA, Roger (Cyndy) Quick of Canton, OH; and 10 Great- Nieces and Great-Nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Robert Quick; and a nephew, Carl Quick. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
