She was born on December 9, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Nancy and Guy Klepsteen.
Luanne loved bowling and showing horses with her father in her early years. She spent 20 years providing home childcare, sharing her warmth and care with children and their families. She also dedicated 17 years as a CNA at Genesis Health Systems, working on the cardiac unit. A devoted fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Indiana Fever, she also enjoyed fishing, camping, and visiting theme parks. Luanne was family-focused, loving, kind, and delightfully silly. She cherished time spent with friends and family.
She is survived by her spouse, Gary Hoxie; her children, Amy Hoxie and partner Mia Torres, and Rick (Amanda) Hoxie; her siblings, Glenn (Donette) Klepsteen, Randy (Karen) Klepsteen, and Alison Holtz; her grandchildren, Zoey, Weston, and Myles Hoxie; and beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Rosie and Mia.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Klepsteen; her children, Jeff, Bradley, Andrew, and Elizabeth Hoxie. Her father, Guy Klepsteen, passed away two days after her on April 4.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service.
