Lyle Henry Kress

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blue Grass American Legion or the Blue Grass Fire Department.

Lyle was born the son of Theodore and Hilda (Brumm) Kress on May 12, 1949. He graduated from West High School in 1967. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Case IH for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Lyle owned the Silver Dollar Saloon, aka Maynard’s Place, aka Uncle Harley’s Bar and Grill in Blue Grass. He was currently working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Survivors include daughter, Kelli Herald (Rob Eggert); sons, Kevin (Erica Drake), Kenny and Michael; grandchildren: Courtney and Kirsten Herald, Austin and Aryn Kress, and R.J. Molloy; great-granddaughter, Aria Villafana; sister, Carol (Kenny) Freund of Walcott; brother, Ralph Kress of Blue Grass; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend who was close to his heart, Addyson Chehka; and his dog, Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
