Davenport, IA Funeral services for Marie P. Greer, 81, of Davenport, will be 1:00 pm on Friday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Family will greet friends on Friday from 11:00 am to service time at the Mortuary. Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.Marie passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home in Davenport.Marie P. Cecere was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 20, 1935, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Santangelo) Cerere. She married William J. Greer on October 5, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2013. Marie worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years and retired to spend time with family in June of 2001.Survivors include her son; Joseph (Candy) Greer of Davenport, grandchildren; Catherine Greer and fiancée, Peter Strader of Davenport, William Greer of Ames, Benjamin Greer, of Davenport,. Along with siblings, Thomas (Linda) Cecere, Geraldine (Nicholas) Cerenzio, Marylou (Melvin) Hockhouser, and a large number of nieces and nephews, cousins and her dog, Koko..She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William.Memorials may be made to the family.
