Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 16, at Risen Christ Lutheran Church. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Marlene’s name to Scott County Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Marlene was born August 29, 1942 to Benjamin and Helen “Lucille” (Orr) Butt in Rockford, IL. On June 1, 1963 she was united in marriage to Robert Milota in Charlotte, IA. Marlene worked as a hairdresser at her own salon, Marlene’s Beauty Shop, for 28 years.
Marlene always loved being outside, she loved gardening and her flowers. She loved spending time with her family. She always went the extra mile to make everyone’s life better.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Milota; children, Troy Milota, Robin Schilling, Leslie (George) Hepting, and Chad (Brenda) Milota; and grandchildren, Alexis Hepting, Bailey Hepting, Andrew Milota, Benjamin Milota, Sam Schilling, Claire Schilling, Gabriel Milota, and Grant Milota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Alice Butt; nephew, Gilbert Butt; and son-in-law, Glenn Schilling.
