Martina E. Briggs Dierks

Martina Briggs Dierks, 51 , of Davenport passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2012 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. A graveside service will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society. Martina was born October 1, 1960 in Frankfurt, Germany the daughter of Raymond and Elisabeth (Ohwerk) Williams. She was united in marriage to Michael Dierks on September 16, 2011 in Davenport.

Martina worked at The Machine Shed for 10 years.She was currently employed at Oscar Mayer, where she was working until her illness would no longer allow.

Martina liked camping and fishing, but she especially enjoyed her flower garden in her backyard. She loved her dogs, Maggie Mae and Otis, they were her babies.

Those celebrating her life are her loving husband, Michael, mother Elisabeth Williams, of Bettendorf ; sisters, Mary Williams, Anamosa, IA., Brigitte (Houman) Tehranchi, Laguna Niguel, CA.; nieces Sofie Hundley, Cyrus, Celeste, and Chloe Tehranchi and many aunts and uncles in Germany as well as her special friends, Amy and Rachel.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
