

Martina “Marty” Adeline Fuller, 76, Davenport died peacefully at Genesis Hospital after an extended illness on Monday, January 21, 2013. A private family service was held followed by a burial in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Martina was born on January 31, 1936 in Davenport; the daughter of Edwin and Angela Klehn. She married Richard “Dick” Fuller, Sr. on July 4, 1956. She graduated from Davenport Immaculate Conception Academy in 1954. Marty was a kind hearted woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and loved family gatherings. Her faith and the catholic Church were a significant part of her life. She really liked dogs and had several throughout her lifetime. Her interests included walking and volunteering at the Bix 7, politics, canning vegetables and entries in the Mississippi Valley Fair. She enjoyed recent visits to her family in Arizona and spending time with her sisters, brother and their families. She retired from Genesis West in March 2012 where she enjoyed working and had many friends throughout her career at both East and West Genesis Hospital campuses. Survivors include her children: Richard “Rich” (Rhonda); Victoria “Vicky” (Terry) Powell; Phillip; Ann; grandchildren: Mike, Martina, Rob and Rachel; sisters: Mary Ann Fellman; Virginia “Ginger” (Jack) Wolfe; brother, Michael (Joanne) Klehn and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
