Mary J. Cochran

Graveside services for Mary J. Cochran, 86, of Davenport, will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. There will be no public visitation. Mrs. Cochran died at her residence at the Silvercrest Senior Living facility on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary Jane Stephenson was born on October 21, 1933 in Johnson City, IL, the daughter of Leo and Lela Stephenson. On December 26, 1952 she married James E. Cochran in Davenport, IA. Mrs. Cochran worked as an executive secretary at Augustana College in Rock Island for 32 years.

Mary was a very active member for many, many years at Grace United Methodist Church in Davenport. She served as the choir director and often played the piano for worship services. For many years she also worked as a voting both proctor.

She is survived by - her husband: James; a Son-in-law Mark Jorgensen; 4 Grandsons: Brad, Brent, Bryne, and Shane; 3 Great-grandchildren; and a Great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Cathy, and a son: James.
