Mary E Gordon

Mary E. Gordon, 92, of Davenport passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm Tuesday at the mortuary. Mrs. Gordon was born May 2, 1919 in Champaign, Illinois the daughter of Simon and

Fannie Bremer. She was a 1938 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School and served in the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C. during World War II. She was employed by Crescent Electric Supply Co. prior to her marriage. On December 18, 1948 she married Warren E. Gordon at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2011. She enjoyed playing the organ.

Survivors include her children Keith, Thomas, and Susan (Don) Rodrick and a brother, Chuck Bremer.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Dale Thomas in 1953, brothers Robert and George, and a sister, Agnes Garthwaite.
