Maxine Mildred Felt

Funeral services will be held at Park View Lutheran Church (14 Grove Rd., Eldridge, IA), Monday, June 29, 2020, at 10 A.M. with visitation beginning at 9 A.M. Memorials may be made in her name to her church. Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.therungemortuary.com.

Maxine was born on November 20, 1923, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Charles and Mabel (Clifton) Hill. She married the love of her life, Merwin Anderson Felt, on June 7, 1946, at Saint Marks Church in Davenport. She was employed by Rock Island Arsenal, Crescent Cookie Company, Scott County Library Eldridge, Sylvia’s Dress Shop, and later ran her own day care at home. She loved to garden and read. She served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and was an active member on the PTA.

Those celebrating her life include her daughters, Connie Joan (Tom) Morse, Cathy Jean (Mike) Griffith, and Candy Jane (Bill) Eichenser; grandchildren, Todd, David, Tammy, Ashley, Brian, Melisa, Chad, Cory, Lisa, Joanna, Misty, and Scot; great grandchildren, Kayla, Josh, Maddie, Eli, Jeffrey, Jacob, Justin, Jacob, Caden, Emily, Ryan, Bryon, Richard, Meagan, Bill, Cody, Tommy, Miranda, Brayden, Zoe, Olivia, Tristan, Tyler, Gabby, Taron, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Kylie, Zoey, and Joseph; great-great grandchildren, Krislyn, Adryanna, Ryliee, and Aaliyah.

Maxine is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, and sisters, Bernice and Marion, and brother, Jerry.
